OK…Politics the strange bed-fellow…And we all know I very seldom comment on U.S. politics because I figure we have enough problems in Canada…but…

Question time on this Soleimani guy…We all know politics is a very strange and crazy thing, right? We also know that once someone has power they don’t want that power threatened and/or undermined, right?

So, and this is just a thought, do you think this Soleimani guy was sent to Iraq so he could be removed by the U.S.?

Think about it…Iran and the U.S. have been playing tootsies for decades. Then you have the Iran nuclear deal and yet, in the background, this Soleimani guy is undermining that deal with his groups, right? Not to mention he tells a U.S. General he’s the big guy in Iran – so wouldn’t that be making his leader a little crazy wondering if there is going to be a coup?

“While he was serving as Barack Obama’s CIA director, Gen. David Petraeus liked to tell a story about a text message he received from Soleimani at the peak of the surge in 2008.
“Dear General Petraeus, you should know that I, Qassim Soleimani, control the policy for Iran with respect to Iraq, Lebanon, Gaza and Afghanistan. And indeed, the ambassador in Baghdad is a Quds Force member. The individual who’s going to replace him is a Quds Force member.”

Now being a political animal the Leader of Iran should and probably was pretty nervous of a guy who is saying he “control[s] the policy for Iran with respect” to basically the entire East, wouldn’t he? So why not let the U.S. know, in the background, when and where this Soleimani was going to be so the U.S. could do it’s thing, after all Bin Laden was taken out by Obama so why not this guy by Trump? Same kind of animal aren’t they – Bin Laden and Soleimani? Mind you some say Soleimani was worse so take what you will from that but back to the politics…

Obviously Obama couldn’t and didn’t get the job completely done and the Leadership of Iran most certainly didn’t want a military coup on their hands so what were they to do but rat this guy out to the U.S. so Trump could get it done, right?

Now everyone is calling for restraint – and I agree…we don’t need another world war and yet we could be going there, couldn’t we?

As for the tweets by Pelosi trying to use this as a political thrust at Trump…she needs to stand down – after all does she really think that Trump would issue the order without the intelligence, she so adamantly defends, asking him to? Just because her previous boss couldn’t get the job done she seems to be merely trying to make things worse. Time for her to suck it up buttercup and let those in the know do what they need to do.

So everyone should just stand down, take a breath and realize there are always going to be things the average person will never be told and/or know, when it comes to skulduggery, espionage and the Eastern countries…
